Mahr Park Arboretum | Madisonville, KY
Bailee and Cierra’s Engagement Session was at Mahr Park Arboretum in Madisonville, KY on November 18th, 2020.
We had hoped to do it earlier in November but were forced to reschedule due to the weather.
Bailee and Cierra chose Mahr Park because they wanted their Engagement Session to be outdoors and in nature.
We met at Mahr Park Arboretum about two hours before sunset so that we could take advantage of Golden Hour lighting in our images.
Bailee and Cierra will be getting married at The Hidden Homestead in October of 2021 and I can hardly wait.
The Engagement Session
Before the Engagement Session, Bailee had texted me and asked if I could help her surprise, Cierra. She needed me to distract her so that she could get something from the car and she thought that maybe somewhere towards the beginning of our session would be best.
However, the parking lot where we met was pretty far from where we initially started taking pictures and it was hard to come up with a reason why we needed to go back towards the car.
Luckily, Bailee and Cierra had brought a second outfit that they wanted to change into.
So we changed locations and they both changed into their second outfit.
I told Cierra that we were going to play a game and that she needed to stand there and close her eyes. The car was extremely close by and this gave Bailee enough time to grab her surprise gifts for Cierra.
It was a beautiful moment and I’m glad that I was able to capture it for them.
It seemed to happen at the perfect time as the sun was getting very low in the sky and providing that beautiful Golden Hour lighting that we all dream of.
Finishing Thoughts
Bailee and Cierra’s love for each other can certainly be seen by just spending a few minutes with them.
There were a lot of funny moments during their Engagement Session and I was able to capture quite a few candid images.
I was also able to capture a few very intimate moments and I am thankful that they were able to brave the cold weather and wind to get them.
I can’t wait until their wedding next year!
